Whilst our designs are bespoke, we follow a tried and tested professional process to deliver a result you can be proud of
All of our garden buildings are built on site, using top quality materials and the same construction methods and standards that are used to convert your loft or extend your home. And while your garden building will be designed before we start, bespoke means bespoke, so certain changes can be made during the build process.
Building bespoke means that we can create something that fits almost any shape, making the best use of the space that you have.
The first step in the journey to a bespoke garden room is the design consultation. We will listen to your requirements and guide you through your options for doors and windows, lighting, data and electrical, heating and cooling, external cladding, flooring and internal finishing.
We don't offer pre-determined packages for any of the above options. We will build exactly what you would like.
During this visit we will assess the site ground conditions to determine what site preparation is required and walk through any planning and building regulation restraints which might apply.
For more information on this please read our FAQs.
We take the details of our site visit, and produce a detailed quotation. This will only be final once all elements have been agreed. That said, we understand that you might change your mind and one of the major advantages of our on site bespoke construction method is that changes can be made at almost any point. Any adaptations which could affect the quotation price will be communicated to you in writing before we make them.
All of our garden buildings are built on solid foundations. Unless a suitable concrete base already exists, we use a specialist screw-pile company to provide a low-impact foundation solution with a 25 year warranty. Not only does this minimise disruption to your garden, it is also much more environmentally friendly than concrete. Should any site preparation be required prior to construction we will of course undertake this as part of the process.
Construction begins with a robust timber frame built to modern construction standards. Where access to the sides of the building is not possible, external faces are clad in zero maintenance fibre cement board. A variety of timber and composite options available for visible faces. Floor, walls and roof are all fully insulated, with at least 100mm insulation thickness throughout. Roofs are usually a rubber system with a minimum expected service life of 25 years.
A fully certified electrical installation connected directly to the household supply can be tailored exactly to suite client requirements with options for hard - wired internet provision, heating and air conditioning. Glazing is professionally installed. Internally, buildings are plastered and fully decorated. Architraves, skirting boards and flooring are installed. After a final clean, your perfect new space is ready to enjoy.
Our customers come to us with unique requirements that are difficult to cover with pre-fabricated solutions. This can be fitting the unique shapes of the landscape to incorporating unique elements. We build bespoke garden rooms and out houses to fit the unique needs of your home and garden.
